Xtp is hornady’s “extreme terminal performance” pistol bullets. I’ve seen the xtp in hollow point and flat point configurations. What bullet, and caliber are you trying to load for? What data are you using?

The XTP is a Jacketed Hollow Point
Normally JHP by any manufacturer is safe to load with JHP data, unless the bullet is cast lead HP or pure copper HP
Those have different load data due to their design and friction in the barrel making pressures higher

It's for a 45 cal 185 grain jhp, the book I have just shows 185 grain xtp or 185 grain barnes x solid bullet

And your bullet is an XTP?
    If so, use XTP data

Just looked at them and you should be fine using the XTP data, just watch for pressure signs as you work up to max load (if you intend to go that high). I'll try to check my manuals when I get home and see what I have for data.

What powder(s) are you planning to use?
